Bro. John Sylvester Silveira Installed in the Eastern Chair of Lodge Gomantak No. 248, Goa



The 34th Annual Installation Ceremony of Lodge Gomantak No. 248 was held on Saturday, 21st February, 2015 at Jai Kieran Hall, Ramnathi, Goa. Bro. John Sylvester Silveira was ceremoniously placed in the Chair of King Solomon by W. Bro. Godfrey Richard Gould, the Ruling Master of the Lodge.



W. Bro. John Sylvester Silveira then appointed and invested his Officers for the year 2015-16.

The ceremony was attended by brethren of the Lodge in large numbers. V. W. Bro. Yazdi Eruch Shroff, P. G. D of C, P. Dy. R. G. M., ARGM of North Karnataka and Goa Area and an esteemed member of the Lodge graced the occasion as representative of the R.W. the Regional Grand Master of the Regional grand Lodge of Southern India, R. W. Bro. Arvind Prasad Chitra. V. W. Bro. Shroff complimented the outgoing Master on his excellent performance in the year 2014-15 and wished the incoming Master well. He also delivered the Address to the Master.

W. Bro. Richard Gould gave a succinct report of his Stewardship of the Lodge highlighting the various new initiatives and the substantial increase in Charity receipts and donations.   He also presented mementos -"Master's Wages"- to all his officers in appreciation of the services rendered by them during his Mastership, another new initiative.

R. W. Bro. J. K. Devgupta, Dy. R. G. M. Of the Regional Grand Lodge of Western India, W. Bro. C. V. Angadi and W. Bro. F. C. Patil of Lodge Dharwad No. 54 graced the ceremony with their presence.

The august presence of W. Bro. Christopher Po, Ruling Master of Lodge Haig-Brown 3829 E.C. along with W. Bro. Ajay Aras, W. Bro. Subeer Verma, W. Bro. Christopher Pereira, Bro. Rajesh Chheda and Bro. Nelson D'Silva, officers of Lodge Haig-Brown 3829 E.C. brought greater colour to the ceremony.

The evening ended with toasts, a raffle in aid of charity and a festive board and fellowship which were enjoyed by all.
